This build, in my opinion, is better than the typical W/Mo running build specifically because of the attribute Expertise. It reduces energy costs to almost nothing, and there are some Ranger skills that are extremely helpful.
Attributes:
Expertise: 12+1+2 (or 11+1+3)
Tactics: 6
Wilderness Survival: 10+1
Skills:
Escape
Storm Chaser
Sprint
Dodge or Balanced Stance
Troll Unguent
Healing Signet or Antidote Signet
Lightning Reflexes
Whirling Defense
Weapons:
Best armor possible, of course, preferably Drakescale or Fur armor. Hunter's Mask for the +1 Expertise, and a Major Expertise and Minor Wilderness Survival. Any sword with a good fortitude mod and a shield with req.6 tactics and +hp while in stance or +hp always is good to have.
==RUNNING CHESTS AND EASY AREAS==
Just take turns using Escape, Storm Chaser, Sprint, and Dodge so that you can be running faster all the time.
==RUNNING AGAINST ICE/WATER HEXES==
If you are going to encounter monsters that use water hexes, this build also works. Use lightning reflexes when you encounter the enemy. Wait for the hexes to wear off, and use whirling defense if Lightning Reflexes wears off. As soon as hexes wear off, use escape to get out.
==RUNNING AGAINST PIN DOWN==
Same strategy as against slow down hexes, but you can try running through the archers using Dodge, and hopefully they will miss with Pin Down.
==RUNNING AGAINST KNOCKDOWN==
If you are going to encounter monsters that knock you down, such as Hydras and Wurms, make sure to bring Balanced Stance. Use Balanced Stance when you see the enemy.As soon as they start to use a skill that knocks you down, use Escape.
